Job Description:

A leading company is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager - Technical Production, Staging & Structures to join their dynamic team in Milton Keynes. This exciting role will involve overseeing and managing the technical aspects of staging, structures, and production for a wide variety of high-profile events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:

    • Take ownership of multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring all aspects of technical production, staging, and structures are managed efficiently.
    • Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless delivery of production requirements.
    • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Technical Production Oversight:

    • Oversee the planning and execution of technical production, including staging setups, rigging, audio-visual systems, and structural installations.
    • Manage technical teams, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to complete tasks to the highest standards.
  • Client Liaison & Relationship Management:

    • Work closely with clients to understand their technical requirements, providing expert advice on staging and production needs.
    • Ensure client expectations are met, building strong relationships through effective communication and successful project delivery.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:

    • Ensure all technical installations and operations adhere to relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
    • Conduct risk assessments and provide solutions to mitigate any potential hazards during the execution of projects.
  • Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:

    • Address any technical issues that arise during the setup or execution of events, ensuring that any problems are resolved swiftly and efficiently.
    • Proactively anticipate challenges and take steps to prevent delays or disruptions during events.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Project Management Experience:

    • Proven experience in project management within the events, technical production, or staging sectors.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Technical Knowledge:

    • Solid understanding of technical production, staging, rigging, and event structures.
    • Hands-on experience with AV equipment, lighting, sound systems, and other technical aspects of event production.
  • Leadership Skills:

    • Strong leadership abilities, with experience in managing teams and coordinating with various stakeholders.
    • The ability to motivate and support team members to deliver projects to the highest standard.
  • Communication Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams effectively.
  • Problem Solving & Attention to Detail:

    • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail to ensure all technical elements are meticulously planned and executed.
  • Qualifications:

    • A relevant qualification in project management, engineering, or a related field would be beneficial.
    • Health and safety qualifications are advantageous.

Schedule:

  • Day shifts - worked 5 days out of 7 between the hours of 06:00 hrs and 20:00 hrs
  • Overtime is required during peak periods
  • Weekend availability is essential during peak
