SENIOR CREDIT RISK ANALYST - IMPAIRMENT

This role is a core role within the company's risk division, provisioning and forecasting team. You will be responsible for the maintenance and execution of the full suite of credit impairment models as well as DoD engines. You will be a key player in determining the credit loss budgets for the business.

THE COMPANY

This company is a well-established and trusted bank providing a wide range of banking and financial services. The business offers current accounts, mortgages, cards, savings, investments, insurance and loans.

THE ROLE

You will be doing the following daily:

  • Facilitate the change process and execute the implementation of new models.
  • Actively collaborate with various risk sectors, including forecasting, portfolio management, and collections.
  • Develop and present materials, delivering results to governance forums and committees.
  • Engage regularly with external auditors to ensure the smooth completion of half-year and year-end audits.
  • Assist in internal audit activities and address internal validation points for closure.
  • Play a proactive role in reviewing and challenging the next generation credit risk provisioning models.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation reflecting any model changes.
  • Contribute to the development of Management Information (MI) Analytics dashboards.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with building and running models in SAS or a similar software.
  • Strong understanding of risk management regulations and guidelines.
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong numerical degree from a Russel Group University
