Customer Liaison Officer

Hourly rate: 16.10

Working hours: Mon to Thurs 9am-5.30pm Fri 9am-5pm

Location: Civic Centre Milton Keynes MK9 3EJ

This is a full time office based role for a 3 month temporary contract.

Job description

There are 7 Customer Liaison Officers in the MASH (Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub). The MASH is the front door to all referrals into Children's Social Care and is made up of CLOs, social workers, the police, health, and CAMHS. CLOs respond to all calls, providing advice where appropriate, record contacts from professionals and members of the public, arrange meetings, and assessments with families, and respond to requests for information from partner agencies.

Role responsibilities

  • To answer calls into Children's Social Care in a timely manner, providing advice where appropriate.
  • Support social workers in arranging assessments and strategy meetings.
  • Provide information to partner agencies.
  • Complete referrals following on from telephone calls and face to face visits into the MASH.

Ideal candidate

  • Have a basic knowledge of services available in Milton Keynes who offer support to children and families.
  • Have experience of managing difficult conversations.
  • Good IT and written skills.
