About the Role:

Dunbar Education is seeking enthusiastic and caring Nursery Assistants to work in a variety of private day nurseries across Milton Keynes. This is a flexible opportunity for both short-term and long-term placements, allowing you to gain experience in different nursery settings while supporting the care and development of young children.

Role Overview:

As a Nursery Assistant, you will play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years. You will assist in daily activities, personal care, and learning experiences, supporting children's development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering engaging activities to support children's learning and development.
  • Provide care and supervision, ensuring the well-being of all children.
  • Support children with personal care, including feeding, changing, and toileting (where required).
  • Work collaboratively with nursery staff to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Follow all safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies.


Requirements:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years Education (preferred but not essential).
  • If unqualified, previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is required.
  • Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • A passion for working with young children and supporting their learning journey.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
