Job Description
This SEND school are looking to appoint two teaching assistants to start immediately.
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated people, who are able to engage with our students. You will be working alongside at least two other teaching assistants so you must be able to work in a team. It is essential that the successful candidate is able to communicate clearly in a calm and respectful manner, be reliable and trustworthy and work within the school’s policies, including safeguarding and child protection
Full-time: Posts are for 32.5 hours a week and Term Time Only. Teaching Assistant hours are 8:30-3:25pm Monday-Wednesday, 8:30pm-4:00pm Thursday and 8:30-3:15pm Friday term time only
The school
The school is a school for children and young people with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or a Social Communication difficulty, from the age of 4 to 19. The school is not suitable for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health as their primary need or where they present an on-going risk to others
All pupils at The school have Education, Health and Care Plans. These are used to ensure the pupils are kept at the centre of their learning
The person
- Preferably applicants from people with SEND experience, however, applications welcome from mainstream applicants
