An Electrical Actuators Engineer with an understanding of Electrical Motion Control and Actuators will get involved with setting up and programming PLC’s, motor drivers and industrial communications as well as performing fault diagnosis, delivering training and providing product support.

To be part of the team you should possess the following:

  • HND or Degree in an Engineering discipline such as Electronics or Mechatronics.
  • 1+ Years’ industrial design / support / testing experience.
  • Knowledge of various electronic applications such as Electric Motion Control for industrial applications.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Some knowledge of PLC’s and ladder or Structured Text programming.
  • An appreciation of industrial communications protocols such as EtherNet IP, PROFINET and/or IO-Link.

The role:  The successful Electric Actuators Engineer answer technical questions, assist with customer applications and perform fault diagnosis for a range of products including motion control and/or actuators. You’ll also set up and programme PLC’s. motor drivers and industrial communications, thriving on challenges and possessing confidence to work within a customer / people facing role. You’ll get to create and deliver training courses as well as creating operating manuals. Occasional travel to Europe will be part of the role.
