We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer covering East Anglia for a growing international company expanding into the UK market. This role would suit a subcontractor who is used to organising their own diary, workloads and being on the road often.This is a standalone role, so needs someone is self-motivated and driven.

Summary of the Field Service Engineer role 

Salary: £40,000 basic plus company vehicle & expensesLocation: Field based covering East Anglia Type of Contract: Permanent  Hours: 40 hour working week plus overnight stays and travel 

Responsibilities of theField Service Engineer

  • Travel to client sites to install control units.
  • Repair, maintenance and servicing of machinery and control units.
  • Electrical fault finding.
  • Decommissioning and recommissioning.
  • Providing client support and training on site.
  • Happy to work away from home and outside in cold weather.
  • Working at heights.
  • Managing own diary and workload.

Requirements for a successful Field Service Engineer

  • Engineering qualification with several years field service experience.
  • Electrical Engineering experience within the plant, construction or plumbing industry.
  • Fault finding and wire assembly experience.
  • Experience in pipework or fitting.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, including managing own diary and work.
  • Health and Safety experience.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable working at heights and working outside.
  • This role would ideally suit someone used to plant maintenance.
