The Role:

We are looking for an ambitious Technical Support Engineer with an electrical bias to join our team. If you have experience with serial interfaces, PLCs, or electric drives, you will be well positioned to provide dedicated support to both our customers and sales force. Your role will be pivotal in training, proactive promotion, and driving sales growth through your technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the external sales team to enhance market share growth.
  • Provide technical support via phone, email, Teams calls, webinars, and site visits.
  • Develop and deliver bite-size training sessions for staff and customers.
  • Continuously enhance your skills and industry knowledge.
  • Investigate and analyze product field failures, providing detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Develop proposals for new products that meet current and future customer needs.
  • Conduct market and competitor analyses to stay informed of industry trends.
  • Contribute to the introduction of new products, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
  • Participate in industry events and exhibitions.

Product Support Engineer Requirements:

  • Methodical problem solver with strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain clear and comprehensive records.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on testing and diagnostics experience.
  • Technical knowledge paired with a degree of sales understanding is highly beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel to UK customer sites to support sales activities and resolve technical issues.
