E.ON UK operates one of the largest Street Lighting Contracting businesses in the UK with a large presence in the East and West Midlands as well as the North West of England. We have four Street Lighting PFI's and work for most local authorities in the areas we operate in. We operate as an ICP and carry out jointing associated with the installation and connection of electrical networks for most of the housing developers in the UK. We have agreements to work on the DNO and IDNO networks in the UK. Ours teams also install large scale commercial and industrial EV Charge points across the UK, both customer owned and public charge points.
To assist with this growth and to meet our current targets, we are looking for Commercial and Industrial Electrician to join our EV team, to carry out inspections and maintenance of existing and new EV charging infrastructure throughout the UK.
The role holder will have the ability to manage and schedule EV maintenance, be conversant with all aspects of Industrial electrical installations, trunking, tray work and distribution board installation including fault finding, repairs and inspection and testing, with an opportunity, following appropriate training and authorisation, to develop their skills with various small and large scale EV Charging systems.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Driving general and specialist vehicles appropriate to the role.
- Ensure personnel and possibly sub-contractors under their control fully understand and adhere to their job requirements.
- Test, inspect and maintain EV Charge points and Infrastructure.
- Taking full ownership for personal health and safety responsibilities and that of the team ensuring PPE worn at all times.
- The ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
- The ability to take a confident but diplomatic approach to customers at all times.
- Carry out risk assessments and maintain safe working practices.
What we need from you
- Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or training programme.
- C&G 236/2360/2365 pt 1 and pt 2 or equivalent with extensive & proven relevant trade experience.
- 18th edition BS7671 wiring regs qualification.
- C&G 2391 or equivalent.
It would be great if you have
- Previous Full G39 qualification.
- Current First Aid and Manual Handling certificates.
- CSCS accreditation.
- A current driving licence with MEWP operator’s certificate.
- C&G EV qualifications
