Prototype Wirer Assembler

Location - Milton Keynes 

This role offers the opportunity to join a specialist in the design and manufacturing of electrical equipment for naval ships and submarines. They have been supplying the Royal Navy since the 1930's and can trace our origins back to the start of the twentieth century. The company is currently expanding and winning contracts with existing and new customers and are entering an exciting phase in our development as we strive to achieve higher standards of excellence and exceed our customer's expectations.

Job Overview 

You will be assembling and wiring mechanical switchgear and looming hybrid solutions and wiring control panels from kits of parts. You need to be able to correctly interpret detailed information, schematics, build notes and general arrangement drawings to assemble high quality products. You must be used to working to high standards, have essential experience in creating quality looming, crimping, soldering and be able to plan an efficient layout and produce neat and accurate wiring.

The person

We require a flexible, enthusiastic and energetic person with a positive attitude to join our team. Good communications, flexibility, and a preparedness to learn new skills are important.

You must be self-motivated and able to work under your own initiative but also to perform as part of a team and to build to high standards whilst under pressure to meet deadlines.

Restrictions

The position is full-time factory based at our Milton Keynes facility and you will report to the Production Manager.

Please note that because of the defence related nature of our business you will be required to undergo basic BPSS security clearance vetting and potentially SC as well as meeting special nationality rules. Therefore, this vacancy is only open to British Citizens .
