Security Engineer - Fully Remote (UK) - £65,000-£75,000

The Role
As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure cloud infrastructure, managing endpoint security, and leading vulnerability assessments. You'll play a key role in strengthening the organisation's security posture, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and enhancing security awareness across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and implementing secure cloud architectures, ensuring robust defences against evolving threats.
- Managing endpoint security solutions, ensuring comprehensive protection across all devices.
- Conducting vulnerability assessments, analysing risks, and driving remediation efforts.
- Deploying security controls aligned with industry frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
- Automating security processes with scripting tools such as Python or PowerShell.
- Running security awareness initiatives to educate and upskill teams.
What We're Looking For
- You'll need at least five years' experience in information security, with expertise in:
- Cloud security (ideally AWS) and secure infrastructure design.
- Endpoint security and device protection strategies.
- Vulnerability assessments and remediation planning.
- Compliance and security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
- Automation and scripting to enhance security operations.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Hands-on experience in incident response and post-incident analysis.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
