Security Engineer - Fully Remote (UK) - £65,000-£75,000

Are you a skilled Security Engineer with a passion for safeguarding cloud environments and endpoints? The Role

As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure cloud infrastructure, managing endpoint security, and leading vulnerability assessments. You'll play a key role in strengthening the organisation's security posture, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and enhancing security awareness across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing and implementing secure cloud architectures, ensuring robust defences against evolving threats.
  • Managing endpoint security solutions, ensuring comprehensive protection across all devices.
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments, analysing risks, and driving remediation efforts.
  • Deploying security controls aligned with industry frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
  • Automating security processes with scripting tools such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Running security awareness initiatives to educate and upskill teams.

What We're Looking For

  • You'll need at least five years' experience in information security, with expertise in:
  • Cloud security (ideally AWS) and secure infrastructure design.
  • Endpoint security and device protection strategies.
  • Vulnerability assessments and remediation planning.
  • Compliance and security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
  • Automation and scripting to enhance security operations.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Hands-on experience in incident response and post-incident analysis.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
