An exciting opportunity for an ER Specialist / Employee Relations Specialist (12-Month interim) to Join a commercial, fast-paced, multisite, leader in the blue collar environment. My client is looking for an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to support our multi-site blue-collar environment. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement and upskilling our line managers in all ER matters.Role Overview:As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a diverse range of employee relations activities. You will use data to drive improvements and ensure a fair and consistent approach to ER cases, in line with company policies, UK legislation, and best practices.Key Responsibilities:

  • Support disciplinary, grievance, and capability issues.
  • Be aware of points of escalation and manage absence cases effectively.
  • Proactively manage Trade Union (TU) relationships.
  • Mentor and develop Site Management Teams in ER matters.
  • Triage and prioritise line manager queries efficiently.
  • Maintain positive relationships with regional TU teams.
  • Provide input into the policy review process, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the wider HR team to meet business needs in case management and proactive actions.
  • Manage employment tribunal and court claims, minimising financial and reputational impact.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to support all ER activities.
  • Develop and deliver training programs in conjunction with the L&D and HR teams.
  • Report on ER matters and provide metrics for stakeholders.
  • Lead and support major business changes, such as TUPE transfers.

Qualifications:

  • You must have experience as an ER Specialist or as an HR Advisor with a wealth of experience managing high volumes of ER cases from end-end.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and best practices.
  • A full clean driving licence and the ability to travel 2 days per week to Birmingham, Portsmouth, or Kent or a couple of other sites.
