SRM are seeking an audit trained ACA/ACCA qualified finance professional for a well established Milton Keynes based manufacturing business for this Accounting Finance Manager role, on a permanent basis.

This position is responsible for managing financial statutory accounting and regulatory reporting (Tax and VAT) processes, cash flow management and ideally be involved in the administration of the NetSuite ERP for our UK-based operations.

This role will partner with the Corporate Accounting team in ensuring global accounting policies are adhered to locally as well as Global Controllership team in the US to ensure SOX controls are robustly implemented, documented, and tested.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the accuracy and control of the financial accounting activities during the monthly close and year end including completeness of journal entries, uploads to HFM consolidation system
  • Manage the timely delivery of all external statutory and regulatory reporting processes (Corporation Tax, VAT) ensuring compliance with local accounting standards
  • Collaborate with the U.S.-based Corporate Accounting teams to ensure compliance with UK GAAP, US GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Manage liaison with external auditors and regulatory bodies
  • Lead cash-flow forecasting and liaison with Group treasury function to ensure appropriate liquidity levels are maintained
  • Ownership and administration of UK ERP system (NetSuite)
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account analyses, and reports on a monthly/quarterly basis to ensure key SOX controls are in place and accruals are adequate
  • Drive continuous process improvements to ensure all information is timely and accurate, with a focus on improving timeliness and accuracy of financial information, as well as appropriateness of processes
  • Deliver high level analysis and review of the monthly management accounts to support storytelling to senior finance leadership team
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Support the UK FP&A team to ensure financial performance and variances are understood.
  • Partner with other teams and departments to ensure integrity of accounting controls, processes, and procedures

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant in a UK recognized accounting qualification ideally with audit background
  • Knowledge of NetSuite and HFM is desirable
  • Reporting experience under both UK and US GAAP
  • Experience of completion of UK VAT and Corporation tax returns and working in partnership with external advisers
  • Experience in a Regional Accounting team in an international / public company environment.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, independent thinker with experience of improving processes.
  • QSR industry or franchisee experience preferred
  • Proficient PC skills and experience with financial applications (Excel, Word, Hyperion, NetSuite)
