We’re seeking an Audit Assistant Manager to join a highly regarded audit team within a top 40 accountancy firm. This role offers exposure to complex audits, career progression opportunities, and a supportive environment that prioritises work-life balance. You’ll lead audits for a range of clients, mentor junior team members, and gain hands-on experience to prepare for future managerial roles.
Key Responsibilities- Focus on 80% audit and 20% accounts preparation.
- Lead audits for clients with turnovers up to £250 million, including specialised sectors (e.g., FCA, pensions, charities).
- Prepare statutory accounts, consolidated accounts, and draft corporation tax computations.
- Support and mentor junior staff, resolving technical accounting and auditing queries.
- Manage a growing portfolio of audit and non-audit clients, developing strong relationships.
- Contribute to team improvement initiatives and assist with business development efforts.
- ACA or ACCA qualified, with experience in a Chartered Practice.
- Familiarity with a diverse client base, including pension schemes, LLPs, FCA-regulated entities, and charities.
- Strong technical expertise in FRS 102 and FRS 105 (IFRS experience is an advantage).
- Confident communicator with clients, peers, and senior stakeholders.
- Proactive and hands-on, with the ability to multitask and train others effectively.
- Flexible working arrangements, including agile hours.
