This multi-site hospitality group are seeking a commercially minded finance professional who will thrive on partnering with their driven CFO in building a 'best-in-class' finance function. They are a well-respected group, who have a highly experienced, credible and commercially astute senior leadership team and, having recently acquired four related businesses, they have a clear vision and a rapid growth and improvement plan.
With this strong foothold in their sector, this business is well positioned for the next chapter in their story.The highly-engaging CFO has been overseeing an effective revamp of the Finance Department, bringing the outsourced functions in-house. As the new Head of Group Reporting, you will be a key part of this.
Given the current set-up, you will need a pragmatic approach to the day-to-day requirements and you will need a hands-on, can-do approach that you would expect within any start-up or turnaround scenario.. To be successful in this position, you must have a collaborative style and a desire that matches the CFO's vision of driving improvements and change swiftly and to tight deadlines. Naturally, success in scenarios such as this, tend to combine previous experience with a can-do, driven mindset. You are likely to have a background of successful systems improvements and your ability to effectively communicate with both finance and non-finance stakeholders alike, will be key to your success.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Head of Group Reporting located in Milton Keynes, with flexibility for some remote work. The Head of Group Reporting will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing consolidations, overseeing financial reporting, managing fixed assets (capital allowances etc), overseeing regular balance sheet reviews and dealing with all technical accounting matters across the group.
About you:
- Analytical Skills, Financial Statements, and Consolidation expertise
- Strong background in Finance and Financial Reporting
- Advanced knowledge of financial analysis and reporting
- Experience in managing complex financial data and information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Ex-auditor (preferably reached manager level) and a fully qualified (ACA, ACCA)
