Due to ongoing growth, my client is looking to add to their rapidly growing team in the form of a Flexographic Printer. This globally renowned company manufacture labels and supply machinery into the food production industry.
This is working on the night shift, Monday – Friday 10pm-6am and some flexibility is required, as overtime is often available.
The Role:
- Promoting and adhering to safe working practices
- Setting up and running the printing presses, mixing inks, colour matching
- Flagging defective material and potential issues
- Monitoring quality from a running press
- Inspecting reel end samples and adjusting as necessary to maintain quality
- Ensuring data is accurately recorded
- Following Work Instructions and Customer Specifications
- Meeting or exceeding performance standards regarding safety, waste, quality, productivity and environmental standards
- Maintaining a clean and tidy environment
- Actively getting involved with initiatives and projects
- To understand all procedures relevant to the role
- Used to operating to key performance indicators
- Co-operate and participate in continual improvements to the press and wider company environment
- Complete documentation for traceability and BRC
The Candidate:
- Experience operating Flexographic printing machinery (MPS an advantage)
- Attention to detail & quality conscious
- Must be a proactive person
- Must be a reliable team worker but able to use initiative and work with minimum supervision
- Must have a flexible & enthusiastic approach to work
- Good communication skills
- Good troubleshooting skills
Salary & Benefits:
This is a full-time permanent position, working on the night shift Monday – Friday 10pm-6am and has a salary up to £40,000.
