Requirements:

The Food Production Operative role is best suited to someone with 2+ years experience within a Fast-moving consumer goods environment, preferably within the food or pharmaceutical industry. You will have knowledge of safety regulations and quality control checks and a willingness to adhere to them. You will also have:

  • A Reasonable level of computer literacy to effectively follow MES processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to handle manual tasks, including lifting and moving goods during the production process
  • Anyone looking to join us will need to be available to work any 5 days out of 7 - and be flexible around the days as these may change. To begin with shifts will be Monday to Friday but longer term may require weekend working..
  • Initially Shift times will be 08:00 - 17:00 with some flexibility needed here to meet the needs of the

Responsibilities:

As a Food Production Operative , you will:

No two days are the same, but here's an insight into what you'll get up to:

  • Adhere to site safety and food quality standards at all times and Ensure a safe, clean and organized manufacturing environment at all times.
  • Movement of raw material from picking locations to production areas. Including use of MHE, counterbalance FLT, PPT, and pedestrian pallet trucks.
  • Operate loading, blending and/or packaging line equipment to blend and pack powdered food ingredients according to batch specifications.
  • Manual case packing/pallet stacking of finished goods. There will be elements of manual handling involved in this task.
  • Monitor process parameters such as flow rates, blending times and packaging quality to ensure product consistency and quality.
  • Complete required line start up checks and perform routine equipment setup, adjustments, and maintenance to maximise efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Record production data accurately and maintain production logs for traceability and quality
  • Control purposes.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot issues and implement process improvements.
  • Use of process Manufacturing Execution System (MES) at various stages throughout the manufacturing process. Scanning raw material into relevant loading/blending stations.
