Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator for a temporary position at our facility in Milton Keynes, MK17 9FE. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The operator will be accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform other warehouse duties. This is a physically demanding role and wll include assisting within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.- Load and unload goods from vehicles such as trucks or aircraft.- Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.- Stack goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.- Check loads are secure.- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and other equipment.- Complete and maintain accurate records.- Follow safety protocols and procedures.- Assist with inventory management and stock control.- Support other warehouse operations as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:- Proven experience as a forklift operator.- Valid forklift certification/license.- Ability to operate powered industrial trucks and other material handling equipment.- Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects.- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.- Excellent hand-eye coordination.- Good organizational and time management skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and record-keeping.- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.

Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent.- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts.- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
