They are looking to expand their team by hiring a CAD Technician to support their exciting range of projects.The CAD Technician will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Proven experience as a CAD Technician within an engineering, construction, or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and design principles.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for CAD design.
  • A relevant engineering or design qualification (HNC, HND, or equivalent).
  • Experience with Acrylic and Timber would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
The CAD Technician role will involve:
  • Producing detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for projects across various sectors.
  • Working closely with engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality designs.
  • Ensuring all drawings meet the required technical and safety standards.
  • Making revisions to drawings based on feedback and updates from the engineering team.
  • Assisting with the creation of Bill of Materials (BOMs) and project documentation.
  • Supporting the design team with any additional tasks as required.
