A thriving multi-disciplinary contractor in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire is looking for an Estimator to join their team.

Employing approximately 100 employees, their business encompasses a FM & Small Works Team, M&E Team, and a Projects delivery team.

Fit out and refurbishment projects account for around 50% of company revenue, with the rest coming from FM & Small works, standalone Electrical, and Mechanical works.

The Role: Estimator

As an Estimator, you will be joining the successful estimating and preconstruction team, working on fast paced refurbishment /fit out, general contracting schemes

You will be the point of contact for various customers across the business, and will be receiving enquiries, producing the estimate and ensuring quality assurance from the outset.

You will be working for a supportive and invested management team and the responsibilities of the role include:

Site Survey and Scoping including scope price build up
Estimating and conducting cost analysis
Collaborating with engineers, architects and contractors to discuss and resolve issues
Assessing cost effectiveness and identifying potential financial risks
PQQ/ITT/ITN Support and Submissions
Subcontract enquiry management
Adjusting estimates and recommendations based on changes and updates to projects
Maintaining records of estimated costs
Liaising and responding to multiple customer needs within the department
Organising and arranging delivery of tasks collaboratively with team members
Management and production of pre-construction deliverables
Enforcing quality and efficient delivery throughout the whole department
Aligning with the business Core Values and ensuring they are being adhered to
Sharing best practice within the department
Liaising with management team to ensure reporting systems are up to date
Ensuring timely turnaround of quotations and delivery that meets customer expectations and SLAs
Assisting to the growth of the department with an innovate and creative approach to new
opportunities

The right person: Estimator

Our client is looking for an experienced Estimator with construction refurbishment experience and a proven track record working on fast paced construction schemes. (Assistant Estimators are also invited to apply)

You will have the following experience / skills:

Familiarity with multi trade estimating is essential
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications
Good IT ability with the ability to embrace relevant software and systems.
Able to initiate dialog with wide range of personnel to obtain information and close issues
Diligence and reliability
Proactive in approach to work
Detail -oriented mindset with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
Competitive and target driven
