Transport and Production Planner - Monday to Friday role - expanding distribution business

Our client is a major player in the distribution sector, with an impressive workforce of over 1000 dedicated employees. They specialise in producing high-quality products and have a strong presence in the market.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a diligent Transport and Production Planner, within the logistics department, based in Milton Keynes. The role requires a Transport Planner who can commit to the weekly rotating shift pattern of 7am-3pm, 9am-5pm and 12nn - 8pm.

Description

The Transport and Production Planner will have responsible for the below:

  • Manage and coordinate production and transport schedules
  • Ensure that all products are delivered on time and in perfect condition
  • Develop strategies for increasing efficiency in the production and transport processes
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Resolve any issues that may arise during the production or transport process
  • Maintain accurate records of all production and transport activities
  • Implement and maintain safety standards in all production and transport activities
  • Provide regular reports to management on production and transport activities

Profile

A successful Transport and Production Planner should have:

  • Proven track record of working as a Transport and/ Production Planner
  • Proficiency in using production and transport management software
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
