Insight Employment are seeking Production Packing Operatives to work for a client of ours in Great Horwood, Buckingham.

You must have your own transport or live locally as this location in not on a bus route.

The Role: -

As a Production Packing Operative, the packer's main task is to pack the item in the appropriate packaging to prepare it for shipping. There are a variety of different products, packing using various packaging materials and boxes of different sizes. The Products can be delicate and will need to be packed carefully with good attention to detail to ensure the item will reach the customer in the best possible condition.

After selecting the appropriate packaging for the item and carefully packing it, packing operatives will weigh the items and label them ready for shipping. Weighing the items is an essential stage of the shipping process, ensuring payment of the correct postage charges. You might also use computers and other equipment to print the labels and affix them to the packaging.

Every part of the process requires documentation to ensure the work meets certain standards and you meet our targets and deadlines.

Temperatures within areas will be chilled but also hot if items are coming out of the oven. You will need to be prepared to work in both areas.

Requirements: -

  • Previous Production experience would be an advantage
  • Must be able to work on your feet

Shifts/Hours: -

Day shift - Mon-Fri 07:00-17:00 (occasionally some Saturday’s)

Afternoon shift - Mon-Fri 17:00-Midnight (occasionally some Saturday’s)

You will need to be flexible and be able to work both shifts patterns.

Rates: -

Day shift - £11.44 per hour

Afternoon shift - £12.00 per hour
