We have a part-time opening for a Senior Manager - Curriculum & Accreditations to join The Open University.Role: Senior Manager - Curriculum & AccreditationsLocation: Milton Keynes, HybridHours: Part-time (18.5 hours/week)Salary: £46,485 - £55,295 (pro rata)Contract: Fixed term until 28th February 2025About the RoleThis role focuses on managing resources, operations, and administrative policy development for qualifications and accreditations within IET. You will ensure that qualifications are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing and developing the Curriculum and Qualifications Professional Services team.
  •  Ensuring module production aligns with University policies and procedures.
  • Supporting HEA recognition for teaching practices within the University.
  • Leading project management efforts, including risk analysis and mitigation.
Skills and Experience RequiredEssential:
  • Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in module production management and change environments.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including risk assessment.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Budget management expertise with strong financial and numeracy skills.
  •  Analytical ability to interpret statistical data for informed decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage diverse audiences.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely decisions and implement solutions.
  • Commitment to equality, teamwork, and adaptability under pressure.
Desirable:
  • Line management experience.
  • Management qualifications or formal training.
  • Experience in distance learning or module production using new media.
  • Familiarity with micro-credential production
