Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Subject Leader - Chemistry to join our vibrant school community in Milton Keynes, starting in January. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Chemistry department, driving high standards in teaching, learning, and student achievement.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons to students across a range of abilities.
  • Develop and implement an innovative Chemistry curriculum, ensuring alignment with school goals and national requirements.
  • Track and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching strategies and improve outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the Chemistry teaching team, supporting their professional development.
  • Promote a positive learning environment that fosters curiosity and a love for science.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and other department heads to contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching Chemistry at the secondary level.
  • Proven leadership experience or a strong desire to take on a leadership role within the department.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Chemistry education.
