Our client is a well recognized UK brand who have everything under the one roof for your home and garden.  They have a collaborative culture, great people, product ranges, and are currently enjoying an exciting phase of growth. They are now looking for a Logistics Business Analyst to join their network planning team.  Head office base Is Milton Keynes, and the role comes with hybrid working options.  The ideal split would be 2 days in the office and 3 days from home, however there may be some additional flexibility with that. As their Business Analyst, you’ll be supporting the Planning & Strategy Manager in the development and execution of plans, both tactical and strategic. Working with key partners and stakeholders, providing analysis and insights to ensure data driven decision making.

Responsibilities – Logistics Business Analyst

- Create and manage detailed operational budget models and forecasts.

- Develop and maintain a detailed DC capacity module to manage space allocation and usage by trading world & category

- Proactively work with the merchandise managers to ensure space occupancy is within agreed limits and agree remedials activities where occupancy is breached.

- Work with the merchandising, freight forwarders and DC operations teams to create and facilitate the execution of robust weekly Inbound plans, Reporting progress and variances to the plan to key stakeholders (Merchandising / Operations)

- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and modelling as required to support the function and wider business providing insight to ensure data driven actions are taken.

- Work with key stakeholders and IT & BI Business partners to scope and support the simplification & automation of business processes and the development of Power BI reports

- Work with the planning and strategy Manager, IT & Key Business Stakeholders to scope, analyze and document projects to business case sign off stage.

- Take a lead role in planning & strategy projects as a functional expert.

- Conduct regular line level analysis to determine optimal flow routes and stock locations.

- Deliver an agile, efficient store distribution service and a home delivery capability to support growth plans.

Required Skills – Logistics Business Analyst

- A logistics or retail planning analytical background is preferred, although not essential. 

- Adaptable approach, with an ability to articulate data and results to a wide audience. 

- A proactive individual with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Advanced Excel and Power BI capability, able to work with large and complex data sets.

- Thrives in a fast paced role, bringing strong project management skills alongside your expert analytical skills. 

- Driven to help a scaling business make better data led decisions.
