The RoleAs a Senior Application Support Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's applications and services. You'll work closely with development, infrastructure, and customer support teams to troubleshoot, resolve issues, and ensure the systems perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level support for complex application issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems across various platforms and environments.
  • Monitor application performance, identifying potential issues before they impact customers.
  • Work with development teams to implement fixes, patches, and improvements.
  • Act as a technical mentor to junior members of the support team, providing guidance and training.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business-critical issues and prioritize accordingly.
  • Ensure that documentation and knowledge bases are maintained and updated regularly.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in application support, ideally in a senior or lead capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL databases and application servers (e.g., IIS, Apache).
  • Experience with monitoring tools
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and incident management best practices.
  • A team player who can also work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
