EAC are representing a Market Leading Organisation who are on the lookout for a Senior Network Engineer. This is due to recently winning a new contract that you will be exclusively working with. The roles requires someone who is flexible to travel across the UK. The role will suit someone who is local to Milton Keynes as this is where the head office is.

Duties for Senior Network Engineer:
Network Troubleshooting and Support
- Provide expert-level support for complex network issues and escalations from 1st and 2nd line support teams.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices, with a focus on Cisco Meraki solutions.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network-related problems to ensure constant uptime and reliability.
Network Configuration and Management
- Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks, primarily using Cisco Meraki products.
- Implement network upgrades and enhancements to improve performance and security, focusing on Cisco Meraki technologies.
- Manage network devices, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of new and existing hardware, specifically Cisco Meraki solutions.
Security and Compliance
- Ensure network security by implementing and managing firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures, particularly those offered by Cisco Meraki.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR and ISO/IEC 27001.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and issues, emphasizing Cisco Meraki systems.
- Generate regular reports on network performance, incidents, and resolutions.
- Develop and update network policies and procedures.
Ideal Senior Network Engineer:
- Strong understanding of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and BGP.
- Proficiency with Cisco Meraki network equipment and solutions.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools, particularly those compatible with Cisco Meraki systems.
- Knowledge of network security principles and practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems provided by Cisco MerakiRelevant certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist, or CompTIA Network+.
