Systems Engineer - Milton Keynes (hybrid work available) - Up to 45,000

We are actively recruiting for a Systems Engineer to join our client, who are a supplier and manufacturer of power protection products including UPS, Chargers, Battery Packs, Generators. These systems range from standard to complex systems and are supplied to many industries including Defence, Marine, Power, Water.

The role is hybrid, offering 2 days a week home working.

The successful candidate will need to work with the Project Manager and the Design Manager (System Design Authority), coordinating with customers, suppliers, external bodies as well as a senior management team.

The work will involve:

  • Designing new rugged power protection products, both electrical and mechanical, using Inventor/AutoCAD software.
  • Supporting the development of design solutions to agreed time, cost and quality in accordance with project or business milestones.
  • Supporting the development and management of requirements specific to a system or product and/or across a system of systems, platform or programme.
  • Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the requirements management tools and has been endorsed by the appropriate level of authority.
  • Work with the engineering team to improve own levels of domain knowledge and subject matter expertise.

Your skills and experiences:

  • Degree level qualification within a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and practices.
  • Knowledge of the engineering lifecycle with experience of operating in the phase relevant to the role and awareness of the entire engineering lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and practices
  • Experienced in using Inventor/AutoCAD software

The successful candidate will be required to undergo DBS and BPSS checks therefore requiring to be a British Citizen.
