Concept are currently recruiting for Software Installation Technician's in the Milton Keynes area on a rolling contract basisYou will be working for a leading IT services company Installing Software to our clients bespoke Electric Point of Sale systems.What will your day-to-day activities involve?

  • You will be working for a leading IT services company dealing with multiple types of Electronic Point of Sale hardware in a specialist workshop environment alongside other supportive and experienced technicians.
  • You will be primarily required to install IT software to bespoke customer requirements on various types of Electronic Point of Sale equipment and associated peripherals for leading supermarkets chains across the UK.
  • You may be required to support with configurations / builds alongside supporting with computer hardware, routers, networks, switches, hubs etc and testing of the equipment.
  • Other workshop duties will be required, i.e. moving hardware and loading / unloading equipment and boxes ready for distribution and activity.
  • The position is hands on, so candidates need to be comfortable working in a hands-on role, including heavy lifting, bending, kneeling etc.
  • Assisting with quality control/unit testing
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Full training will be provided.

What are we looking for?

  • The ideal candidate is a driven and enthusiastic individual willing to adapt and learn within an industry leading IT company
  • The successful applicant should have a keen passion for IT.
  • Experience completing software installation to Electric Point of Sale Equipment is desirable, however not essential.
  • This will suit a practical minded individual who's happiest in a workshop environment working both as part of a small team and in isolation. As a business we promote responsibility and ownership of tasks whilst understanding the bigger picture of the company and it's goals.
  • Engineers with Software Installation experience to PC's, Laptop's and a high level of mechanical/electrical aptitude; experience on maintaining computer hardware, routers, networks, switches, hubs would be advantageous for this position.
  • Ability to use basic tools such as Screw Drivers, Drill etc.
  • Ability to pass vetting check which includes full criminal and financial background checks

Working Hours and rates?

  • Opportunity to work with industry leader
  • Working hours are Monday - Friday (40hrs per week)
  • Rate details - £120 per day

This role has been deemed an inside IR35 role, the above rates are the umbrella company rates subject to deductions and weekly umbrella fee
