Role: Manufacturing / Production Engineer Automation
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Benefits + Bonus


Due to continued success and growth, a leading manufacturing business is looking for a Production Engineer to join their team at their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes.


The responsibilities of the Manufacturing / Production Engineer Automation are as follows:

  • Identify, evaluate, and present automation opportunities
  • Design jigs, fixtures, and ensure effective robot programming.
  • Deliver lean-structured process documents, work instructions, and standard operation procedures.
  • Support Production Engineering with automation initiatives across production areas
  • Assist with specifying, setting up, and commissioning new robotic equipment and facilities.
  • Generate and adjust programs for new and existing product welds.
  • Oversee weld facilities, adjusting welds and tooling as needed.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to teams.
  • Help develop and integrate automated/robotic welding processes.
  • Assess welding processes for quality, productivity, and function.
  • Train others in welding practices.
  • Support internal and external audits of welding processes.
  • Perform basic mechanical and electrical repairs.


The successful Manufacturing / Production Engineer Automation will have the following skills/experience:

  • Educated in an engineering or manufacturing discipline / equivalent experience
  • Proven skills, knowledge, experience, and expertise in developing and supporting new and existing production lines and plant equipment.
  • Robotic programming & maintenance experience (preferably robotic welding)
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma in the manufacturing field preferable.
