Ford & Stanley Talentwise are working with a large Rolling Stock Maintenance and Overhaul business, who are actively recruiting Mechanical Fitters to join their business on a permanent basis, supporting their growth plans.
The Opportunity:
You will have the opportunity to join a business with ongoing development plans, benefitting from increased funding with new and exciting projects on the horizon for 2025 and beyond. Working for an employer who will provide you with training and progression opportunities, helping you to expand and develop your knowledge on Rail and Rolling Stock.
The Role:
- Carry out the strip out and refit of heavy mechanical components.
- General Mechanical Maintenance.
- Work to specific Engineering drawings and to tight tolerances.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Work in a heavily regulated and safety critical environment.
Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 (DOE)
Key Essentials:
- Previous experience of working on Rolling Stock in a mechanical background.
- Comfortable with operating hand and power tools.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and procedures.
- Ability to work to specific instructions and Engineering drawings.
- Minimum Level 2 qualification within an Engineering discipline.
Hours:
Monday – Friday, weekly rotating shift pattern (06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00)
