Due to expansion in their Business Services team, a permanent position for an Insurance Technician has arisen. This role will require 1 or 2 days a week in the Milton Keynes office.
Your new roleYour new job working as an Insurance Technician means you will support the administration of proportional treaty reinsurance contracts for the expanding client base as well as being a key point of contact for London-based broking teams. You will ensure smooth processes and accurate handling of technical reinsurance accounting. Duties will include validating account submissions and cash loss transactions in line with contract terms, preparing profit commission statements, portfolio transfers, and sliding scale calculations and ensuring accurate data entry and credit control processes while resolving outstanding queries. Further duties will also include assisting with training and mentoring less experienced team members to develop technical expertise and acting as a key escalation point for internal teams and clients.
What you'll need to succeedYour previous experience working as an Insurance Technician ideally in Reinsurance will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have extensive technical accounting experience within the London Market reinsurance sector, have a strong understanding of Lloyd's and London Market processes and systems and have the ability to demonstrate technical expertise in proportional treaty accounting. Ideally, you will have experience auditing and reviewing the work of others, working efficiently under pressure, meeting deadlines, being a strong communicator, being organised and able to effectively build relationships. You will also have competent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
