Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a Principal Communication Systems Engineer. If you enjoy working in a startup environment and are passionate about developing leading-edge phased array antennas and radios for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define requirements, integrate technical parameters, and ensure compatibility of all interfaces.
  • Support proposal reviews and lead trade studies to optimize system architecture.
  • Develop space system requirements and interfaces.
  • Lead the development of space architecture concepts, sub-system design, payload design, and risk reduction.
  • Conduct analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, and other quality factors to ensure mission success.
  • Develop system engineering processes for requirements management and traceability.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 9+ years of experience in space communications.
  • Strong background in communication theory and RF concepts.
  • Experience with FPGA, modern vector processing engines, and satellite-communications standards.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++.
  • Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.
  • Ability to manage large projects and work well under pressure.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
