Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by efficiently handling materials, managing inventory, and supporting shipping and receiving activities. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Routine Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs.
  • Repairs: Perform repairs on machinery, equipment, and structures as needed.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
  • Safety Checks: Ensure that all tools and equipment meet safety standards and are maintained in safe working condition.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring they are stocked and organized.

  • Receiving and Inspecting Goods: Check incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Storage Management: Organize and store inventory in designated locations, ensuring efficient use of space.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping.
  • Inventory Control: Conduct regular inventory counts and update inventory management systems

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting
  • Previous maintenance/facilities experience
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
  • Experience operating forklifts; relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance is beneficial.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in materials handling.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Hours:

  • Mon to Thurs 7am to 4pm
  • Friday 7am to 1pm
