Our Client is looking to recruit a Warehouse Assistant to join their team

40 hours a week Monday to Friday

Your Daily tasks will be. -

  • Ability to work with other departments within the warehouse area to ensure machines are palleted correctly.
  • Pallet building
  • Driving the company van to perform local driving duties (e.g. delivering and picking up parts from customers and suppliers)
  • Operating the company forklift trucks to manoeuvre machines and taking day to day deliveries
  • Ownership of racking inspections
  • General warehouse clearing/cleaning duties to ensure a safe and clear workplace for all
  • Daily cycle counting to reflect stock accuracy and maintain a high level of stock control
  • Navigating and using various systems to process parts and equipment coming back in to the building.

Skills&Experience

Necessary Qualifications/Skills

  • Computer literacy
  • Experience using Microsoft windows and office
  • Willingness and ability to learn
  • Hands on and proactive approach
  • Adaptable

Essential Qualifications/Skills

  • Previous warehousing experience would be an advantage
  • Previous engineering or machine parts experience
  • Familiarity with some engineering terminology is helpful (but not essential)
  • Forklift licence although full training will be provided for successful candidate
  • Full UK driving licence
