Our client has a vacancy for a Legal Secretary/Team Assistant to join their Residential Conveyancing team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of residential property work along with legal secretarial experience. You will need to be well organised and reliable with good audio/copy typing skills.

At times you may be asked to take work from another fee earner or department to help with any staff shortages, holidays, sickness etc - therefore a degree of flexibility is necessary with this position.

Main duties

To provide secretarial support to fee earner including

  • Typing all correspondence to include forms, documents and firm precedents.
  • Filing
  • Making appointments
  • Payments in and out of cheques
  • Dealing with client enquiries
  • Dealing with e mail and any other correspondence.
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post.
  • To cover switchboard when needed.

Good communication skills

Good organisation and administration skills

Ability to prioritise

Able to work well within a team environment.
