We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Manager to join our distribution client. In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring the warehouse teams are managed effectively and aligned to business priorities, while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment. You will have the opportunity to bring your expertise to the table to enhance our warehouse processes and overall output.

Essential Attributes:

  • A strong background as a Warehouse Manager
  • Ability to effecitvely and calmly communicate, motivate and manage the warehouse team, whilst being the bridge to other company departments.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently, take initiative and prioritise based on changing business needs.
  • A passion for continuous improvement, ability to identify areas for improvement and introduce innovative solutions.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and driving efficiencies
  • Experience of working with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Business Central (Experience with Tasklet is a plus)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including inventory management, order fulfilment, shipping/receiving, and quality control.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the warehouse team, fostering a positive and productive work culture.
  • Checking rework and replenishment reports each day and ensuring suitable resource is assigned to tasks to cover workload
  • Ensure the team is directed to priority tasks at all times - and wherever necessary move resources required to these priorities
  • Optimise warehouse processes to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and ensure the safe and timely completion of all tasks.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Effectively communicating with sales office and all other company depts
  • Coordinate with wider internal teams to ensure the smooth flow of information and orders.
  • Troubleshoot any warehouse issues or discrepancies, solving problems in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organised warehouse that adheres to operational standards.
  • Report on performance metrics, inventory levels, and any other relevant warehouse data to senior management.
  • Proactively managing container unloading and stock put aways and rework of stock. Ensure stock is put away in a structured way with stock accessible and avoid unnecessary mix of item number.
  • Managing efficient use of space in the warehouse including bulk storage & pick face / bin utilisation - large bins for fast moving items / full bin utilisation across the warehouse
  • Leverage ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central) to improve warehouse operations, including tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Work with Tasklet software on scanners to streamline order processing and stock movements.
  • Document and train staff on new regulatory process such as Irish delivery paperwork and dangerous goods protocols.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
