Insight Employment are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to work for a local client of ours in Milton Keynes.

The Role: -

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods. This role ensures efficient warehouse processes and workflow, safety protocols, and inventory management. The Warehouse Supervisor leads and motivates a team of warehouse staff to meet performance goals and maintain a productive and safe working environment.

You will be the primary contact for your team, reporting back to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager.

Your Key Duties & Responsibilities: -

Team Leadership:

• Supervise warehouse operatives (including temporary workforce), scheduling, training, and doing performance evaluation.

• Foster a positive work environment and encourage team collaboration.

• Ensure an open communication environment between the Warehouse and the other departments

• Delegate tasks and set deadline

Logistics and Inventory Management:

• Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular physical inventory counts.

• Implement and maintain efficient inventory control systems.

• Ensure accurate and timely deliveries to customers

• Organize and control daily logistics operations

• Highlight, address, and resolve errors and discrepancies

Health & Safety regulations:

• Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for improved efficiency.

• Identify and implement potential process improvements.

Operational Oversight:

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations.

• Maintain work schedules and daily planning.

• Coordinate with Supply Chain colleagues to ensure timely and accurate deliveries

• Address and resolve any customer complaints related to warehouse operations.

• Ensure all warehouse operations are conducted efficiently, complying with the company policies

Requirements: -

  • Proven experience in warehousing, with leadership, management or supervisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Clear and concise written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Good work ethic and commitment to the organization and its members.
  • Highly organized with a strong approach to prioritization.
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight timescales with initiative and drive.
  • Attention to quality and detail.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment, with Forklift licences.
  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, and lifting heavy items.
  • Driving Licence

Salary: -

£25 - £27k per annum per depending on experience.
