Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with both hand and power tools. As a Production Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and optimisation of production processes within our warehouse environment, ensuring efficiency and quality in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Form an approach to root cause analysis and initiation of corrective actions by taking ownership of issues and seeing them through

- Controls, operates and maintains manufacturing equipment to a high standard of performance.

- Establishes and works to maintain standards and maintenance process parameters.

- Applies preventive maintenance to ensure a high degree of organisation and flexibility with no downtime.

- Reviews preventive maintenance tasks and updates work orders with engineering hierarchy.

- Monitors processes and equipment, reports variances and takes corrective and remedial action when necessary.

- Works with little supervision and capable to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

- Communicates systems, machinery or process malfunction as appropriate to Engineering and Production Management.

- Drives proactive idea scheduling with the Maintenance Manager

- Responds to unplanned maintenance events in a timely fashion

- Completes Engineering project work as required for installation and change to equipment and processes.

- Assist Production with any issues that may arise throughout the shift

- Ensure all information is entered into the relevant system, issues, and potential issues and spares used / required

- Specialist competencies.

Key parameters for success (KPIs and Targets):

- MTTF 16 hours or more

- MTTR Less than an hour

- Zero incidents / accidents culture and achievement of near miss targets

- Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) percentage

- Overall production waste percentage

Skill, knowledge and experience:

Essential

-7 years experience(guideline)-Excellent problem solving skills-Effective team player -Strong organisational skills -Excellent time management skills -Excellent Problem solving skills-Proactive -PC Literacy basic use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook-Demonstrates a good standard of Mechanical and Electrical skills.
