Shift Pattern: 4 On, 4 Off

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll be an integral part of ensuring the efficient operation of high-performance production equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing both electrical and mechanical maintenance to keep machinery running at optimal levels.
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults, especially with PLC systems.
  • Working with a range of systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, valves, ovens, mixers, pressure systems, and refrigeration.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reducing the need for reactive maintenance.
  • Supporting production teams to maintain smooth operations and minimise downtime.

What You'll Bring

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Proven experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, ideally within the food production or manufacturing sectors.
  • Technical expertise in PLC systems and working in a continuous improvement or PPM environment.
  • Qualifications such as a BTEC/ONC in electrical engineering, or a time-served apprenticeship/HNC in electrical, mechanical, or production maintenance engineering.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to quickly respond to and resolve breakdowns.
