The Role:
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be essential to maintaining and optimizing high-tech production machinery. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct electrical and mechanical maintenance to ensure machinery runs smoothly.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair faults on various PLC systems.
- Equipment Expertise: Work on systems including pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, valves, ovens, mixers, pressure systems, and refrigeration units.
- Planned Maintenance: Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and address reactive maintenance needs.
- Continuous Support: Provide comprehensive engineering support to the production team to minimize downtime.
What You'll Bring:
- Experience: A strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, ideally within food production or manufacturing.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with PLC systems and experience working within a PPM schedule and Continuous Improvement environment.
- Qualifications: BTECH/ONC in an electrical discipline, or a time-served apprenticeship/HNC in electrical, mechanical, or production maintenance Engineering.
- Motivation: A proactive approach and the ability to respond quickly to breakdowns.
