Engineering Manager – Food Manufacturing
Buckinghamshire

Be a Driving Force in a Site’s Engineering Transformation

If you’re a strong engineering leader looking for a role with real influence and long-term potential, this one’s worth a closer look.

A well-invested food manufacturing site in Buckinghamshire is going through an exciting period of growth and transformation. As part of that journey, they’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and take ownership of performance, reliability, and long-term improvement.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Leading and developing your team – motivating, mentoring, and building a high-performing culture.

  • Ensuring maximum reliability and performance across all assets in your area – using CMMS and planned maintenance to minimise downtime and drive efficiency.

  • Building strong relationships with Production and Health & Safety teams – promoting a collaborative and safe working environment.

  • Taking responsibility for life cycle asset management, capital investment plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Playing a hands-on role in delivering major upgrade and automation projects as the site continues to evolve.

  What you’ll need:
  • Experience managing an engineering team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (food experience would be a bonus, but not essential).

  • A solid understanding of planned maintenance, asset care, and driving OEE improvement.

  • A collaborative leadership style with great communication skills – someone who leads by example.

  • Ideally, hands-on experience across areas like pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical maintenance, and steam systems.

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering, plus a good working knowledge of Health & Safety practices.

  Why this role?
  • Genuine influence: You won’t just keep things ticking – you’ll lead change and help shape the future of engineering at a growing, ambitious site.

  • Career progression: There’s real scope here to grow and take on more responsibility over time – with support from a strong leadership team.

  • Positive culture: The site promotes ownership, respect, and continuous improvement – a place where people are empowered to lead and supported to succeed.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your leadership career and want a role where you can make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
