Excellent opportunity for an Operations Director to join a rapidly expanding FM Contractor based in Milton Keynes.
Client Details
A rapidly expanding M&E / Fit-out contractor who operate mainly in the commercial, logistics and public sectors. They deal with a variety of projects including warehouse fit-out, office refurbishments and also offer a planned / reactive maintenance service to its client base.
They are looking for an experience Operations Director to support the Managing Director with their ambitious growth plans.
This is initially a 12-18month fixed term contract with the possibility of further extension. The ideal candidate will be available to start in January 2025.
Description
Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for all operations within the organisation to help support their ambitious growth / turnover plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing up to 7 department managers consisting of pre-construction, on-site delivery and back office teams. This includes strategic planning, project execution, resource management, and ensuring the successful delivery of services to meet client and company objectives. The role demands a leader with strong technical expertise, operational efficiency, and team leadership skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement overall business strategy
- Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management activities.
- Liaise with all key stakeholders (end clients, third party contractors, internal staff etc)
- Work closely with pre-construction, estimating & site delivery teams to ensure efficiency & profitability.
- Ensure resources are allocated efficiently
- Provide technical expertise where necessary
- Oversee budgets / P&L
Profile
- Previous experience in a Senior Operations role within the M&E / FM / Construction industry.
- A background in Mechanical / Electrical Building Services
- Professional membership with a relevant board (CIBSE, IWFM etc)
- Able to manage a variety of teams from pre-construction to on site delivery teams.
- Excellent financial management skills
