Job Description:
Working in conjunction with Suzuki Corporation, Japan and reporting to them with aspects of the UK based business and sales strategy, by e mail, telephone and on-line meetings when required.
Responsible for advertising and promotion, through the company web site/s, through social media and traditional magazine advertisements.
Retailers Direct contact with retail shops and on-line customers by phone and e-mail, liaising with these outlets to increase/maintain sales accordingly.
Direct customer contact (end user) through e-mail and telephone.
Amazon Dealing with stock orders from Amazon, confirming or rejection stock, processing orders, making delivery notes and sending stock out by UPS.
Regular input on to Amazon web site, up-dating a number of things such as:
Adjust stock levels of Direct Fulfilment Inventory
Confirming or rejecting bulk offers from Amazon
Confirming or rejecting reduced cost offers
Despatching stock orders from retail shops, on-line individual customers and Amazon through Action Express, UPS or Transglobal
Back Orders Keeping a record of customer back orders and despatching as soon as available.
Stock ordering - from Suzuki Corporation, Japan. Prediction ahead based on previous average sales.
Price lists Keeping price lists up to date and making changes to costings where needed.
Dealer mail outs with any new promotions, price changes and up-dates on slower moving or discontinued lines or items the main sales outlets are not listing on their web sites.
Taking payments from customers by Direct Bank Transfer, Paypal invoices, Credit card payments.
Ketron - Ordering stock from Ketron, Italy. Passing on any technical queries to them or to our Technical Manager, Darren Brown.
Banking Checking the bank account regularly to confirm payments in. Transfer of monthly statements to spread sheet to prepare information for submission of monthly accounts to our bookkeeper.
Chasing payment from dealers when necessary
Xero Accounts Financial reports to Japan. Submission of reports (10 in total) to Japan after every month end.
Xero accounting familiarity with Xero accounts preferred.
Invoicing stock sent out to dealers and end users.
VAT returns and payment thereof.
Stock in Processing stock in from Japan, Italy and China. Liaising with transport companies with
regard to duties and costs payable. Unpack stock, check against invoice, store on to shelves etc., making sure to put aside any back-order stock needed for customers.
Payment of invoices to Japan Once the invoice has been logged on to Xero, pay this through one of the currency exchange companies (such as 'Currencies Direct') in reasonable time and preferably at an advantageous exchange rate.
Stock Taking Responsibility to check various items randomly and to undergo a full stock taking at least once a year. Make any adjustments needed.
Payments out Paying bills due on time, to keep good will with our suppliers. Using one of our Currency Exchange Companies to make any payments in yen, Euros or Dollars.
Payments in Monthly statements to be sent (through Xero accounting) to customers on a regular monthly basis. Chasing any customers where payment is overdue.
End of Year Accounts Various reports to be submitted to the accountant. Bank statements, Paypal statements, any Petty cash etc.
