- Supervision of a team operating mixing and blending machinery.
- Monitoring and planning production in conjunction with Quality standards (BRCGs, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EFfCI GMP for Cosmetic Ingredients) through an approved manufacturing process.
- Oversee and supervise manufacturing from raw material to finished product.
- Participate in corporate/plant wide HSE, quality and productivity initiatives. Ensure regular safety checks and good working practises in accordance with COSHH regulations.
- Utilise and leverage "best practices," must be able to guide the development of production team in innovative solutions in areas of process reliability, productivity, efficiency, and safety.
- Work with laboratory resources to ensure all materials are tested for conformity.
- Work with site Operations Manager to build a site development strategy which will drive the necessary skills and competencies in the workforce to meet its customer requirements.
- Build, maintain and update personal knowledge of product portfolio and services as well as using personal expertise to support and develop colleagues.
- Minimum 3 years of direct production management experience in a cosmetic/personal care and chemical manufacturing environment.
- Ability to build credible & successful working relationships at all levels within the organisation.
- Experience with Environmental, Health and Safety regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong background in the use of Lean Manufacturing techniques, 5S, and/or process statistical analysis.
- Working knowledge of the control of major accident hazards regulations 2015 (COMAH).
