 What you’ll be doing as Production Manager…Working as a key member of the Operations Team you will manage all site production with responsibilities for safety, production, maintenance and quality control on a lower tier COMAH site. Working alongside the site Operations Manager you will be responsible for maintaining the sites excellent reputation for service and quality whilst reviewing initiatives for continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision of a team operating mixing and blending machinery.
  • Monitoring and planning production in conjunction with Quality standards (BRCGs, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EFfCI GMP for Cosmetic Ingredients) through an approved manufacturing process.
  • Oversee and supervise manufacturing from raw material to finished product.
  • Participate in corporate/plant wide HSE, quality and productivity initiatives. Ensure regular safety checks and good working practises in accordance with COSHH regulations.
  • Utilise and leverage "best practices," must be able to guide the development of production team in innovative solutions in areas of process reliability, productivity, efficiency, and safety.
  • Work with laboratory resources to ensure all materials are tested for conformity.
  • Work with site Operations Manager to build a site development strategy which will drive the necessary skills and competencies in the workforce to meet its customer requirements.
  • Build, maintain and update personal knowledge of product portfolio and services as well as using personal expertise to support and develop colleagues.
 To be considered for this Production Manager role, you will have:
  • Minimum 3 years of direct production management experience in a cosmetic/personal care and chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to build credible & successful working relationships at all levels within the organisation.
  • Experience with Environmental, Health and Safety regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
It would be a bonus to have…
  • Strong background in the use of Lean Manufacturing techniques, 5S, and/or process statistical analysis.
  • Working knowledge of the control of major accident hazards regulations 2015 (COMAH).
