A new opportunity has arisen for a Product Manager to join an industry leading construction product manufacturer. The Product Manager will oversee the effective management of company products throughout their life-cycle to maximise sales opportunities. Communicate these requirements clearly to the Product Development teams to maintain the company product portfolio.

You will ensure the UK market needs are well represented and effective product solutions are delivered in line with UK strategic plans. Collaborate closely with internal teams (including Marketing, Technical, Operational, Commercial, and Customer Service) to ensure each sales division can maximise market share and drive customer satisfaction.

Product Manager Position Remuneration

  • Starting salary of 40,000 - 45,000
  • 25 days of holiday (option to purchase additional days)

Product Manager Position Overview

  • Drive the execution of all product life-cycle processes, including product research, market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, pricing, roadmap development, and product launch.
  • Conduct market research and provide UK market insights and product briefings to central Product Development Teams for new and existing products, ensuring UK requirements are effectively represented and aligned with market needs and strategic plans.
  • Collaborate with Product Development Teams to ensure UK testing and certification requirements are met and maintained.
  • Provide regular reports and analyses with clear insights into market trends, benchmarking product range and hierarchy, product performance, strengths, weaknesses, features, benefits, and price points against competitors.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates the company and its features across primary market segments.
  • Work with the Marketing department to define target audiences and customer segments, and develop product marketing literature that accurately details features and benefits.
  • Manage new product introductions, planning, communication, and coordination across the UK organisation and sales divisions in conjunction with Central Product Development teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide internal product support and regular communications and updates to the organisation and customers.

Product Manager Position Requirements

  • Proven experience and knowledge in the construction product environment or a related sector.
  • Strong analytical skills, including market insight, competitor analysis, product life cycle mapping, and product delivery.
  • Working knowledge of relevant design principles, including safety standards, technical standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presenting to various audiences.
  • Proficiency in IT and common software applications, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create spreadsheets and presentations
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues at all levels.
