Contek Recruitment are currently working with a precision engineering client who are located in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, who are looking for a CMM Inspector to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis.

About Us: Our client area precision engineering company specializing in precision components and parts for the Aerospace, Defence, and Formula One industries.

Job Description: As a CMM Inspector, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the precision and quality of components for the Aerospace, Defence,and Formula One applications. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing Mitutoyo Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to perform detailed dimensional inspections of parts and assemblies based on engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Programming CMM equipment using MCOSMOS to execute accurate measurements.
  • Conducting first-article inspections (FAIs), in-process inspections, and final inspections to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Analyzing inspection data, interpreting results, and preparing comprehensive reports for documentation.
  • Collaborating closely with engineering and production teams to address quality issues, recommend improvements, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CMM Inspector or similar role in a manufacturing environment, ideally within Aerospace, Defence, or Formula Onesectors.
  • Proficiency in operating and programming CMM equipment (Mitutoyo) and related software (MCOSMOS).
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality assurance.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification is preferred.
