Our client is a well-established, global market leader and has a permanent vacancy for a Mechanical Engineer to be part of their Actuator Section. This is part of their continued growth plan.

You will be required to deliver the very best technical support to customers, both internal and external.

Within the role, you will be required to support with technical inquiries, investigate product claims, testing of products for customers or other subsidiaries, creation of various technical documentation, identify, develop and deliver training, research within the market including trends and competitor activities and providing support for new products in the European market.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Mechanical Engineering degree or related qualification (HND as minimum)

• Ability to plan and manage engineering projects

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Experience of writing technical reports and documentation

• Ability to work within a Team and on your own

• The ability to travel within Europe when required

• Experience in using MS office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Desirable, but not essential

• Experience in component development design or testing

• Knowledge of CE, UKCA, UL and related standards

• CAD, CAE basic knowledge

• Basic electrical engineering knowledge
