Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer for an exciting opportunity. Joining our clients team at a UK Leading Manufacturer. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, ensuring that all equipment operates smoothly and meets safety standards. The Maintenance Engineer will also be responsible for supervising maintenance staff and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of machinery and equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in equipment, including logic controllers and schematics.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the maintenance team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean work area.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management, providing excellent customer service.
  • Assist in the training of new maintenance personnel on best practices and safety procedures.
  • Weld components as necessary to facilitate repairs or modifications.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems.
  • Proficient in electrical troubleshooting, including reading schematics.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with proven leadership capabilities.
  • Effective customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain a logical approach to problem-solving under pressure.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for clear communication within the team.
  • Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous but not essential.
