Were looking for an experienced person to assist in our small office-based site at Suzuki Europe Limited, the official distributor for Suzuki Musical Instruments in the UK.

We distribute musical instruments (mostly Harmonicas) on e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, eBay, retail music shops and direct sales on some products. You would be responsible for maintaining and actively increasing sales.Experience in the music sector isnt necessary, as basic training will be given.

This is a varied role for the right person who will work in conjunction with Suzuki Corporation, Japan.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Despatching stock orders from retail shops and on-line individual customers.
  • Amazon Dealing with stock orders from Amazon, confirming or rejection stock (if not available) processing orders, making delivery notes and sending stock out by UPS.
  • Retailers Direct contact with retail shops and on-line customers by phone and e-mail, liaising with these outlets to increase/maintain sales accordingly. Advice on new products price changes and up-dates on slower moving or discontinued lines or items the main sales outlets are not listing on their web sites.
  • Finding new sales outlets as well as established retailers. Research and mail-outs to potential new areas in education, Music Studios, Private Schools, Churches etc. A combination of block e-mailing and traditional postal mail-outs.
  • Back Orders Keeping a record of customer back orders and despatching as soon as available
  • Stock in Processing stock in from Japan, Italy and China. Liaising with transport companies with regard to duties and costs payable. Unpack stock, check against invoice, store on to shelves etc., making sure to put aside any back-order stock needed for customers.
  • Stock Taking Responsibility to check various items randomly and to undergo a full stock taking at least once a year, if not more. Make any adjustments needed.

There is scope for the right candidate to be involved in invoicing customers though Xero accounting. Familiarity with Xero accounting is therefore a bonus.
